Job description

We are a leading Texas-based design and construction company specializing in turnkey infrastructure construction solutions, which include excavation, road paving, retaining walls, and more! Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Manage the project by accounting for 100+ projects at a time.
  2. Investigate project variances and submit variance reports to Project Managers.
  3. Generate invoices from General Contractors on the 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th, 25th, and the last business day, as well as on other days scheduled by contract.
  4. Conference with clients regarding unpaid contract billings and responds to client questions in a timely manner.
  5. Provides weekly updates of the status of past due customer accounts and action plans to address issues.
  6. Reports to management on any opportunities for additional billings and remaining funds available for projects.
  7. Investigates all project expenses not billed to customers.
  8. Works with Project Managers and Subcontractors to ensure timely billings.
  9. Compiles information for internal and external auditors, as required.
  10. Build and maintain relationships with key departments and Company affiliates to ensure cooperation and teamwork.

The duties described above are not inclusive. Additional duties may be permanently assigned or required from time to time due to the need to respond to customer needs and remain competitive in the marketplace.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in accounting or a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in construction accounting and billing
  2. Proficient in AIA billing documentation, lien waivers, and Texas Lien Law processes.
  3. Experience with commercial and TXDOT projects preferred.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and Viewpoint or similar ERP systems.
  5. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  6. Familiarity with GC Pay billing software at both general contractor and subcontractor levels.
  7. Excellent communication skills and a commitment to confidentiality and accuracy.
  8. Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
