RN Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Location: Coos Bay, OR
Contract Type: Travel
Duration: 8 weeks
Shift: 3x12 Days
Pay: $2,167.20/week
Completion Bonus: $1,700 per contract (up to $5,100 after three contracts)

Job Description
ATC Healthcare is seeking an experienced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in an acute care hospital setting. The RN will provide intermediate-level care using the nursing process, coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, and support patients requiring stepdown or telemetry-level monitoring. Weekend and on-call schedules are determined by the unit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide PCU/stepdown-level nursing care
  • Apply the nursing process to patient assessment and care planning
  • Monitor patients requiring intermediate and telemetry care
  • Administer medications and treatments
  • Educate patients and family members
  • Document care in the medical record
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
  • Support safe care transitions and discharge planning

Qualifications

  • Acute care hospital experience required
  • Minimum 24 months current PCU/IMCU/Telemetry/Stepdown experience required
  • PCU, IMCU, Telemetry, or Stepdown background accepted
  • Oregon RN license not required at submission but must be willing to obtain
  • BLS certification (AHA) required (may obtain before start)
  • ACLS certification (AHA) required (may obtain before start)
  • Discipline-specific skills checklist required
  • Resume required at submission
