Introduction

The Manager, Programs provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for TT Electronics’ Program Management and New Product Introduction (NPI) functions while maintaining direct responsibility for the successfully execution of assigned customer programs and new product introduction projects.

The Manager, Programs is expected to balance leadership responsibilities with day-to-day program execution, serving as both a people leader and an active Program Manager. The role drives project delivery, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration to meet customer, quality, cost and schedule objectives while developing a high-performing Program Management and NPI team. Aerospace and defense program experience is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing program management and NPI team.  Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality of program execution.
  • Drive the adoption of new processes and methodology to meet aerospace and defense quality needs; e.g. APQP, PPAP, etc.
  • Directly manage assigned customer programs and NPI projects while providing oversight and support for the borader Program Management portfolio, ensuring projects are delivered on tiem, whithin scope, and within budget.
  • Design, implement, and refine product development, testing, and manufacturing processes.  Manage staff and assign tasks to program management and NPI group.
  • Lead teams in the development of new products, solutions, and processes.
  • Mange resources effectively to ensure the successful completion of projects.  Monitor expenses and ensure cost-effective operations.
  • Strive to improve efficiency and sustainability of processes and product designs, and to reduce waste.
  • Create and oversee project budgets and engage in cost management strategies.
  • Communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders, including investors and potential customers.
  • Maintain high level of expertise in field or sector.
  • Assure that processes meet quality and safety compliance guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments, including operations, sales and marketing, to ensure alignment and support for new program activities.
  • Forge and maintain relationships with suppliers and customers.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of engineering initiatives.  Report on progress and make data-driven decisions.
  • Responsibilities may evolve based upon departmental needs.

Desireable Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a core engineering discipline (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering).
  • PMP certification, Lean Six Sigma experience, or advance degree preferred.
  • Proven experience managing Project Engineers and Program Managers within the aerospace and/or defense industry.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; effective communicator at all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple, concurrent aerospace product development programs and priorities.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a strong attention to detail; able to manage competing tasks through to completion.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to represent the company professionally with customers, supplies, and internal stakeholders.
