General Description:ย 

Operation Smile Student Programs is looking for a creative and collaborative Production Intern to help us prepare and publishย all sorts of engagingย multimediaย โ€“ย from social media graphics to one-pagersย toย presentationsย and more โ€“ for Operation Smile Student Programsโ€™ @osstuddpro social media networks and website, studentprograms.operationsmile.org.ย ย 

We need someone whoโ€™s agile โ€“ who creates for both print and web, whoย can tailor graphics for platformsย as different as Facebook and Snapchat. Andย who canย turn it around cleanlyย and on a deadline.ย ย 

Through this experience, the intern will:ย 

  • See their work shared on social media and digital platforms that reach thousands of student advocates around the worldย 

  • Show off their creative range and curateย theirย portolioย with theย strongย and variedย multimediaย piecesย they createย during the internshipย 

  • Analyze social media data and deepen Student Programsโ€™ meaningful connections with their audienceย ย 

  • Hone valuable written and spoken communication skillsย 

  • Learn essential time management skills working in a fast-paced and dynamic media environmentย 

Essential Functions:ย 

  • Interview relevant audience members for comment around Operation Smile and Student Programs initatives and eventsย 

  • Creates digital graphics for use across social media platforms and the Student Programs websiteย ย 

  • Creates printย graphics for use on T-shirts, notebooks and other materials as neededย 

  • Paginatesย toolkitsย and reports that will serve asย print- and digital-friendlyย guides for Student Programs volunteersย 

  • Manages Box file system of Student Programs multimedia assetsย 

  • Additionalย duties as necessary or assignedย 

  • Internshipย requires 15-20 hours a week and lasts fromย August 6. 2026 โ€“ midย May,ย 2027ย 

Experience Required(education/work):

  • Attendance at an accredited university working towardsa degree in communication or graphic arts. Third or Fourth year of college.

  • Advancedwriting skills, video editing, social media management

  • Experienced=using Microsoft Office,including Word and PowerPoint, Canva

Preferred:

  • Previousinvolvement with Operation Smile preferred

  • Preferred: Has experience working in content-driven environment, such as a school newspaper or yearbook

Characteristics/Skills Required:

  • Keen eyefor creative and engaging design

  • Ability to create whilecomplying withoverall brand guidelines
