Job description

Primary Function: To oversee the After School Program, which runs when school is in session from Monday - Thursday, 2:45pm - 5:30pm, and Friday, 12:30pm - 3:00pm.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Help maintain accurate attendance records
  • Supervise homework time
  • Supervise snack time, being mindful / aware of any allergies and health needs
  • Actively plan and supervise activity / play time and ensure regular mix of indoor and outdoor play and activities
  • Ensure safety for students, especially during parent pick-up time
  • Work closely with LS Principal and other After School staff to manage any discipline issues

Requirements

Experience: 2-3 years in primary education or childcare-related field (preschool, childcare facility, etc)

Personal and Professional Profile:

  • Be a born-again Christian, committed to the Lord, exhibiting a close and dynamic daily walk with Jesus Christ.
  • Be in agreement with and able to support the school's Statement of Faith and Christian Role Model Statement.
  • Have a humble spirit, thinking of others before self and living with gratitude for God's provision.
  • Be an active supporter and promoter of HHCA in the classroom, with parents and in the community at large.
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with staff, students, faculty and parents.
