Job description

We are hiring for a dynamic Program Director for our Afterschool/Day camp for the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas in the Irving region. In this position, you will hire, train, lead, and coach Part-Time staff, ensuring high-quality programming that meets the state and YMCA standards for safety, values, and enrichment. You will build relationships with internal and external partners to strengthen our programs and impact.
With a "home base" at our Coppell Family YMCA, this Program Director will manage the daily operations of 6-8 afterschool program sites and up to 1-2 day camp programs, ensuring that all sites meet licensing requirements, customers are satisfied, and host sites feel valued. He/She will deliver great customer service to School Hosts, Families, branch connections, and community at large. A Childcare Program Director will be a Role model to their team in the values aligned with the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas: Honesty, Respect, Responsibility and Caring. Directors ensure that all sites are staffed according to required ratios, that staff are properly onboarded, trained, and given the right resources to deliver top-notch childcare programs. will be passionate about the cause and mission of the Y, will be a demonstrated leader with outstanding judgement, and will pass all background checks and complete all trainings required to work with children and lead a team of part time staff members.
All Program Directors are expected to be visible daily to their Part Time Teams in YMCA programs under their leadership. Typical hours during afterschool are 9am-6:30pm.
