Program Associate – School of Economics

Location: 200 NW 14th St., Blue Springs, MO
Schedule: 5 days per week (8:15 a.m.–4:00 p.m.)

The School of Economics is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing hands-on financial education for elementary-aged students. Through engaging, real-world experiences, we help students understand basic economic and marketplace concepts while introducing them to exciting business and career opportunities.

We're looking for someone who enjoys working with children, takes pride in being dependable, and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves to help wherever needed. The Program Associate reports directly to the Program Manager and plays an important role in creating a positive, organized, and engaging experience for students, volunteers, and staff during daily field trip programs.

Responsibilities
  • Train in and become proficient in all three programmatic roles.
  • Prepare student materials for daily field trip experiences.
  • Organize, maintain, manage, and store instructional materials and supplies.
  • Support students and volunteers during daily programming.
  • Collect and record program data.
  • Implement all safety procedures and protocols.
  • Collaborate with School of Economics staff and the Program Manager to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Maintain inventory and coordinate with procurement for supply needs.
  • Unpack, process, and store incoming deliveries.
  • Assist with additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Experience working with elementary-aged students is preferred.
  • Positive, collaborative attitude when working with both children and adults.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow established procedures and directions.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to anticipate needs, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Dependable, adaptable, and willing to take initiative.
  • A strong work ethic and a desire to learn, grow, and contribute to a mission-driven team.
