Job description

Masuda Funai is now accepting applications for qualified second year law students to be considered for our Chicago 2027 Summer Associate Program.

This is a full-time, paid position lasting eight weeks.

Legal Work: Our program is designed to give you a sense of what you would be doing day-to-day as a full-time associate. You will have the opportunity work on a variety of real and challenging assignments from all practice groups including litigation, employment, corporate transactions, real estate, commercial transactions, intellectual property, and immigration.

Mentorship: We strongly believe in the importance of mentoring associates with the goal of improving your substantive knowledge and legal writing and presentation skills. Your assigned mentor will meet with you regularly to provide information on the firm, evaluation of your work product, and general guidance and support. You will also receive direct feedback on assignments from attorneys.

Social Networking: Your summer experience will include casual lunches and get-togethers with attorneys, client meetings, as well as several group outings in the city.
