About the Role
MaxAccelerate is one of the market leaders in MAS 9 / MAS 9.1 AI deployments, with over 50+ successful installations supporting customers and partners worldwide. As we grow our AI practice, we are looking for an experienced Maximo AI EAM Specialist to help organisations transform their operations using the latest MAS-native AI, WatsonX, and DataMax AI capabilities.
This is a rare opportunity to work at the forefront of the AI-native Maximo era. You will support clients in deploying, understanding and scaling their AI infrastructure, enabling them to move from reactive to predictive operations within months.

Key Responsibilities
AI & MAS 9.1 Implementation
  • Lead or support deployment of MAS 9.1 AI Services including:
    • Maximo Assistant (natural language interface)
    • Work Order Intelligence (problem code & classification recommendations)
    • FMEA Builder
    • Embedded WatsonX LLM & ML capabilities
    • Reliability and maintenance AI workflows

  • Configure AI features to align with customer business rules, asset structures and operating models.
Intelligent Reporting & Data Architecture
  • Work with Cognos 12 and DataMax AI to build:
    • AI-driven dashboards
    • KPI reporting
    • Predictive maintenance views
    • Asset health intelligence
  • Ensure data readiness, integrity and AI model alignment across Maximo.
AI Adoption & Use Case Delivery
  • Transform customer business processes by embedding AI into:
    • Maintenance planning
    • Work order lifecycle
    • Failure analysis
    • Reliability engineering
    • Asset lifecycle management
  • Identify high-value AI use cases and guide customers through their first 90-day AI transformation.
Partner Enablement & Customer Success
  • Support MaxAccelerate partners with AI readiness, architecture and rollout planning.
  • Train end-users, planners, engineers and executives on MAS 9.1 native AI + DataMax AI features.
  • Assist clients in building an organisation-wide AI Operating Model.

Requirements
Required Experience
Maximo & MAS
  • 5+ years experience with Maximo / MAS 8 / MAS 9
  • Excellent understanding of Maximo EAM modules including Work Management, Assets, Job Plans, Preventive Maintenance, Locations, Inventory, Procurement
  • Experience with MAS 9.1 features is a major advantage
AI & Reporting Technologies
  • Experience with one or more of the following:
    • WatsonX.ai (LLMs, data labelling, model governance)
    • Cognos 11/12
    • AI/ML-based recommendations or predictive insights
  • Strong data understanding (classifications, codes, data quality frameworks)
Soft Skills
  • Passion for AI and the future of intelligent asset management
  • Excellent communication skills - ability to explain AI concepts to non-technical users
  • Strong consulting and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to work with both technical and business teams

Preferred (Nice to Have)
  • Experience with FMEA, RCA, and reliability engineering
  • Knowledge of predictive maintenance or asset performance management
  • Experience with Maximo upgrades, migrations or integrations
  • Exposure to DataMax AI or similar intelligence layers
  • Certification in Maximo or WatsonX is a plus
