LIBRARY PROGRAMMING SPECIALIST

CLOSING DATE: August 10, 2026

PAY RATE: $15.97 per hour

SCHEDULE: Monday-Thursday, 12:30-5:30 with occasional evenings and weekends.

DEPARTMENT: Library

JOB SUMMARY

Performs duties related to the planning and implementing of programs, creative activities, book discussions and programs for all ages. May assist with social media promotions.

RESPONSIBLITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Graduation from high school.
  • Ability to work well in a team setting.
  • Ability to collaborate in creating fun entertaining events for all ages.
  • Treat adults and children with respect.
  • Enjoy creating visual aids and paper crafts geared toward school-aged children.
  • Have the ability to laugh and enjoy working with children.
  • Comfortable working in front of large groups of participants.
  • Knowledge of basic computer use.
  • Must pass drug and background test before hire.
  • Current driver's license with own transportation.
  • Needs to be comfortable being recorded for on-line programs.
  • Must be enthusiastic and have a positive attitude.
  • Must have excellent communication skills.
