Crescent Energy is in search of a Reservoir Engineering Analyst to complete advanced and complex tasks in support of the engineering staff, specifically the Asset Management & Reservoir teams. The Reservoir Engineering Analyst will engage in substantive database management, information gathering, reporting, data analytics, and economic support. To be successful in this position, we're looking for a self-starter who wants to work as a member of a busy team, is interested in learning new skills, and is flexible and adaptable as priorities change.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update reservoir engineering ARIES and SQL databases, ensuring data integrity and accessibility

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, geologists, accountants, and GIS personnel to advance and support company projects

  • Build Spotfire projects to display and track key forecast, production, and operational data to enable efficient data analyses

  • Work with business intelligence team to build and maintain Spotfire information links to company data warehouse

  • Perform engineering calculations and preliminary analyses for interpretation of relevant data

  • Gather and analyze data in support of management/board level reports and presentations

  • Periodically perform process and data audits to ensure data quality and consistency

  • Assist engineers in the investigation and gathering technical and financial data in support of projects; coordinate with other departments as needed

  • Provide technical and financial data to support presentations by reservoir and engineering staff

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Associate's degree or equivalent

  • 3-8 years of reservoir engineering technician/analyst or relevant oil and gas experience

  • Ability to work and problem solve independently with limited guidance

  • Advanced SQL and/or Access database knowledge to facilitate ARIES database management

  • Advanced ARIES, Spotfire (or Power BI), and MS Office experience

  • Advanced communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to work in a fast paced multi-disciplinary environment to achieve team, department and corporate goals

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 5+ years of reservoir engineering analyst and/or combination of O&G related experience
