Job description

We are searching for a CNC Programmer in Cranberry Twp, PA with experience in Alphacam programming.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Creates and makes edits to Alphacam programs to run and operate CNC machines by means of using models, prints, and files

  • Maintains and adjusts all CNC machines and tools

  • Uses computer to enter records, track time, and quantity

  • Implements quality control by conducting tests and inspections of products and processes to evaluate quality or performance

  • Responsible for machine maintenance, housekeeping of work area, and safe work habits

  • Monitors processes and makes programming changes that will allow process to produce an acceptable part

  • Sets controls to regulate machining or enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media

  • May be required to run secondary equipment such as routers and other CNC machines

  • Helps to align and secure fixtures and teaches CNC Router Operators these techniques

  • Monitors the feeds and speeds of machines during machining process

  • Follows lockout/tag out and all other OSHA requirements

  • Remains alert to problems with equipment to anticipate problems

  • Calculates dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments, such as micrometers and calipers

  • Drives forklift to transport material.

  • Performs job duties of a CNC Router Operator and Warehouse Associate when needed

QUALIFICATIONS

  • One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Must have experience with Alphacam programming, CNC routing experience is a plus.

  • Ability to comprehend business information such as product information, customer orders, emails, technical procedures, and regulations

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs; able to measure material using devices such as calipers and tape measures.

  • Valid forklift license is required

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

  • The ability to determine color

Pay Details: $30.00 to $38.00 per hour
