Job description

Tech Talent International (SI) supplies technical talent to a variety of clients ranging from Fortune 100/500/1000 companies to small and mid-sized organizations in Canada/US and Europe.

We currently have a role as a Programmer Analyst - C#/NET - Banking with our large consulting client on a long term project with a major financial services client in the downtown Montreal area.


Role: Programmer Analyst - C#/NET - Banking

Type: Permanent or Contract 37.5 hrs/week

Location: Hybrid - Downtown Montreal, QC -(roles starts off 5 days in office for 1st 3 months, then turns into hybrid setup 3 days onsite, 2 days from home)

Salary: $75,000 - $80,000 + 9% bonus + 3-5 weeks paid vacation + RRSP contribution + benefits + sick/personal day + cell phone allowance + discounts for public transit and may other perks


Position Overview


  • Building and developing trading platforms for Fixed Income Flow desks, including US Linear Rates, Fixed Income, LATAM, and FX.
  • Collaborating with trading and sales teams to understand user needs and translate them into clear system specifications.
  • Working alongside senior developers to propose technical designs and implement projects accordingly.
  • Estimating development effort and ensuring the timely delivery of assigned tasks.
  • Adhering to Agile methodologies and CI/CD (Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery) practices.
  • Writing well‑tested, maintainable code to ensure high software quality.
  • Rigorously following release and change management processes.
  • Taking responsibility for 2nd and 3rd level application support.
  • Managing and coordinating the rollout of software releases.
  • Providing clear, consistent, and accurate status reporting to clients and management.
  • Collaborating effectively with cross‑functional teams, including networking, systems, and other development teams.
  • Applying IT best practices to continuously improve development quality.
  • Participating as a motivated, proactive, and highly contributing member of a global team.
  • Managing multiple workstreams concurrently with strong organizational and prioritization skills.


Technical Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of object‑oriented programming principles.
  • Strong proficiency in .NET and C# development.
  • Solid understanding of software design patterns, including MVVM.
  • Experience with source control tools, preferably Git.
  • Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies.
  • Proficiency with Dependency Injection and Entity Framework.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as TeamCity and Jenkins.
