JOB SUMMARY

The CMM Programmer | Quality Technician plays a critical role in ensuring product quality and conformity to established AS9100 requirements. This position involves evaluating products based on engineering drawings, specifications, and other relevant quality documents. The core hours for this role are 7:30am to 4:30pm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program CMM for New Product Measurements: Develop measurement programs for newly introduced products using PCDMIS software.
  • Operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM): Operate CMM equipment to measure product dimensions accurately holding tight tolerances and inspecting parts of precision.
  • Interpret Blueprints and Technical Drawings: Understand and interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Maintain CMM Equipment: Regularly inspect, calibrate, and troubleshoot CMM equipment to ensure accurate measurements.
  • Conduct Quality Inspections and Tests: Perform inspections and tests on products to verify compliance with quality standards.
  • Document Inspection Results: Record inspection results meticulously and compile comprehensive reports.
  • Collaborate with Production Teams: Work closely with production teams to maintain consistent quality standards.
  • Calibrate and Maintain Inspection Equipment: Ensure that all inspection tools are properly calibrated and maintained.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • 3+ Years of CMM Operation and Programming Experience: Extensive hands-on experience operating and programming Coordinate Measuring Machines. Zeiss with Calypso programming is a must.
  • In-Depth Knowledge of GD&T: Proficient in GD&T principles and applications.
  • Technical Drawing Interpretation: Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with CAD Software: Knowledge of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software is advantageous.
  • Aerospace Industry Experience: Prior experience in the aerospace industry is required.
  • Experience with Tight Tolerancing: Familiarity with tight tolerances in precision manufacturing.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Regularly required to stand and reach the duration of shift, 8-10 hours.
  • Occasionally required to walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or bend.
  • Frequently required to perform repetitive or short-cycles work.
  • Regularly lift, push, or pull up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
  • Understands and observes all necessary safety procedures: safety glasses, shoes, ear protection, machine interlocks, lifting guidelines, etc. as designated in specific work area assigned.

Compensation: $28 - $33 per hour. The final rate will be determined based on experience and a successful interview process.
