Your Role Includes

  • Reviewing and stamping mechanical projects of all complexities and sizes
  • Directing design strategies and concepts on complex projects
  • Leading audits, feasibility assessments, and investigations, and writing corresponding reports
  • Conducting site visits, reviews, and construction phase services
  • Supporting the continuous development of mechanical design standards and practices
  • Mentoring intermediate and junior-level engineers and designers

What You Bring to the Team

  • Design experience with central plant systems, including hot water, steam, and chilled water systems
  • Significant exposure to DDC control systems, including writing sequences of operations, specifications, and troubleshooting on-site control issues
  • Extensive knowledge of codes and standards including CSA Z317 for healthcare
  • Design experience across multiple industries which may include commercial, industrial, educational, multi-unit residential, healthcare, or government
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to organize, multitask and work well under deadlines
  • A collaborative mindset and a willingness to share ideas with a track record of sound judgement and decision-making
  • Professional engineering license in Ontario with 10+ years of design experience in the building construction industry and at least 5 years in Canada
