InVision is a Professional Recruitment Firm specializing in Engineering, Industrial/Skilled Trades, Information Technology and Professional Services within Canada and the U.S. We have a successful track record working on both small and large recruitment projects, across North America.


Our client is a leader in producing custom metal enclosures and racking systems for their clients in construction settings. They are looking for CNC Operator/ Programmer to join their organization.


Responsibilities:

  • Programming a variety of machines including, but not limited to Amada Turret punches.
  • Interpret mechanical design drawings and specifications.
  • Apply machine tooling selections to manufacture parts most cost-effectively.
  • Design and request procurement of tools as necessary.
  • Prepare detailed standardized work instructions and set-up sheets.
  • Utilize software and experience to continuously improve the run time and programming time.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Qualifications:

  • Engineering โ€“ Engineering experience/background with strong mechanical aptitude
  • Minimum of 3 years working with programming in a metal fabrication environment
  • Able to demonstrate good manufacturing practices and implement appropriate tooling for specific tasks.
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in the production.
  • Interpretation of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models, for sheet metal fabrication.
  • Knowledge of raw materials used in sheet metal fabrication production processes, bend deductions, turret punch press tooling, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of goods.
  • Ability to organize tasks in order of importance and use time most effectively to complete all work promptly.
  • The job requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable, and thoroughly completing all tasks.
  • Experience with various machinery, fabrication practices, and materials.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, SolidWorks, Amada Software, Blueprint, and GD&T reading capabilities
  • Ability to work in a team environment where experience and collaboration are part of the culture.
