Senior CNC Programmer
Location: Vaughan / Woodbridge, ON
Shift: Days
Pay Rate: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior CNC Programmer to join a growing aerospace and defence manufacturing operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled programmer with strong Mastercam experience and a background supporting complex, high-precision machining environments.

The successful candidate will play a key role in developing, optimizing, and supporting CNC machining programs for complex aerospace and defence components while working closely with machinists, engineering, quality, and production teams.
What You'll Do

CNC Programming
  • Create and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam
  • Program 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC milling machines
  • Program CNC turning centers
  • Develop efficient machining strategies to improve quality and reduce cycle times
  • Modify and improve existing CNC programs as required
Manufacturing & Process Support
  • Support machine setup and prove-out activities
  • Select tooling, fixtures, and cutting parameters
  • Troubleshoot machining and programming challenges
  • Improve manufacturing processes and machining efficiency
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives
Engineering & Technical Review
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
  • Apply GD&T requirements to machining processes
  • Review dimensional and tolerance requirements
  • Calculate machining dimensions and manufacturing processes
Quality & Production Support
  • Verify part conformity and dimensional accuracy
  • Support first article inspections
  • Maintain aerospace-quality standards and documentation requirements
  • Work closely with machinists, supervisors, and quality personnel to resolve technical issues
  • Support production schedules and delivery commitments
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 7 years of CNC programming experience in a precision machining environment
  • Advanced Mastercam programming experience
  • Experience programming 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC mills
  • Experience programming CNC turning centers
  • Strong knowledge of Fanuc and Haas controls
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
  • Strong understanding of GD&T
  • Proven experience optimizing machining processes, tooling, and cycle times
Preferred Qualifications
  • Aerospace manufacturing experience
  • Defence manufacturing experience
  • Certificate of Qualification in Machining
  • CNC Programming Certification
  • Diploma in Precision Machining, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, or related field
