Job description

Are you someone who thrives in a hands-on role, passionate about the intricacies of machining and eager to be part of a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility? Join our close-knit team as a CNC Programmer, where your technical finesse and creative flair will elevate the manufacturing processes of our products.

What you'll do:

· Program our product’s components from prototype through production on vertical/horizontal mills, lathes and a mill-turn.

· Operate and perform set-up of complex components on 3, 4 and 5 axis machines: Haas/Mori Seiki Vertical, Mazak Horizontal, and Mazak Integrex.

· Work with engineering on design for manufacturability.

· Improve existing CNC programs to help with quality and efficiency.

· Design tooling and fixtures for work holding.

· Proof your CNC programs before handing them off to production.

· Generate setup instructions and machine tool lists for operators.

· Work with vendors on tooling/material quotes.

Requirements

What you'll bring:

· 5+ Years in a CNC programming role.

· Proficiency in Esprit and/or Mastercam Mill (2D/3D toolpaths) with 3 and 4 axis.

· A good working knowledge of horizontal mills

· Ability to simulate/verify new programs in machine environment

· Ability to design and set up tooling (tombstone, fixture plates etc.).

· Analyze existing CNC programs logically and implement improvements.

· Ability to create and edit G&M code programs on the machine controller if necessary.

· Strong desire and mentality for "lights out" machining.

· Awareness of cutting tool technology with speeds and feeds for various materials or know how to find them.

· Ability to read, write and comprehend English, schematics and machine shop (mechanical) terms.

· Experience with measuring tools such as micrometer, caliper, indicator etc.

· Knowledge of Microsoft Office, computer savvy. Must be able to email, work in PDF, Word, Excel, etc.

· Great attitude and able to work well with others.

· Reliable and on-time.

· Great attention to detail.

· Ability to stand or sit for up to 8 hrs.

· Can lift 50 pounds.

Desired skills and experience (not required):

· SolidWorks CAD experience.

· Experience with Haas, Mazak, and Mori Seiki machinery.

· Cell manufacturing with Mazak horizontal machining centers in a Palletech Manufacturing Cell.

· MillTurn experience with Mazak Integrex.

· Experience with shrink fit and ER tooling.

· Familiar with Esprit TNG Mill or Mill-Turn.

· Renishaw probing in machine.
