Job Description
Designing a better world is more than a career, it's a calling! Come work with a team of professionals dedicated to design excellence at the Coffman Engineers' Bozeman office. We also a satellite team in Boise, Idaho. This opening is for both the Bozeman and Boise locations and requires employees to be in the office full-time so we can support active training and mentorship.
We are seeking a dynamic, innovative, and quality-oriented individual with an interest in consulting engineering to join our team as an entry-Level Fire Protection Engineer. The ideal candidate should have a desire to work and grow as a team player within our Fire Protection department.
This position will support the team in providing our clients with: automatic suppression system design, fire detection, alarm and communication system design, code analysis, egress analysis, fire resistant construction analysis, smoke control analysis, as well as general fire protection and life safety concepts and research. The Bozeman Fire Protection department has six licensed Fire Protection Engineers and multiple NICET certified designers to provide training and support.
This position is not eligible for sponsorship. No paid interview travel or relocation expenses are offered for this position. This position is not remote.
Qualifications
Requirements Include:
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in engineering from accredited college or university
    • Civil, Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degrees will be considered
  • Background working in the Fire Protection or Fire Alarm industry (preferred)
  • Experience with drafting software (REVIT and AutoCAD) (preferred)
  • General building construction knowledge (preferred)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work on a high-functioning team.
