Cannon Automotive Solutions, a division of Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping has an immediate opportunity for a CMM Programmer in our Bowling Green, Kentucky Cold and Hot Stamp Facility. The ideal candidate will have prior CMM experience, be self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Summary Responsibilities:


  • CMM Programming, develop, edit, and optimize CMM programs using PCDMIS (or your software of choice) for tooling components, dies, fixtures, and stamped parts.
  • Dimensional Inspection, perform firstoff, inprocess, and final inspections on tooling and stamped components.
  • GD&T Interpretation, read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T to determine measurement strategy.
  • CAD Integration, import and align CAD models to create accurate measurement routines.
  • Root Cause Analysis, support toolmakers, die technicians, and engineers by providing dimensional data for troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
  • Reporting & Documentation, generate detailed inspection reports, capability studies, and deviation summaries.
  • Equipment Maintenance, maintain CMM calibration, cleanliness, and basic troubleshooting.
  • CrossFunctional Support, collaborate with tool & die, stamping, engineering, and quality teams to ensure dimensional compliance.
  • Abide by all Company policies including, but not limited to the following: Health and Safety, Environmental, Quality, Human Resources policies, and the Employee Handbook

Minimum Qualifications:


  • CMM Programming Experience - 2-5+ years programming CMMs in a manufacturing environment
  • GD&T Expertise - Strong understanding of ASME Y14.5.
  • CAD Knowledge - Ability to work with 3D models (SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Eperience with Tool & Die and Stamping
  • Experience with PCDMIS
