L3Harris' Communication Systems segment is currently seeking an Electrical Engineering Manager to join our team. This position will be based at our Salt Lake City, Utah facility.ย 

Position Overview:

This position is for the Operations Engineer Manager role.ย  They are responsible for management of Operation's test development projects, from a design and requirements implementation perspective. They have a team of electrical engineers who are responsible for test bed and automation design/implementation. The projects may be for external customers or internal projects. The Operations Engineer Manager works closely with the Operations Systems Engineer Management and Operations Management to ensure successful outcomes for test development projects.

Work with senior management to ensure proper resource allocation and ensure future demand visibility. Through expert communication and leadership skills, establishes a common understanding among team members on scope, schedule and risks.

Demonstrates ethical and professional behavior in accordance with company values.ย  Performs other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • An ABET (EAC/CAC) accredited Bachelor's with a minimum of 9 years prior related experience or Master's of Science degree in an Engineering discipline (preferably Electrical Engineering) with a minimum of 7 years prior related experience, or equivalent technical education and experience

Preferred Additional Skills:ย 

  • Experience in product development (preferably in military application environment)
  • Experience in manufacturing and manufacturing test development
  • Understanding of engineering architecture and design concepts along with an understanding of the engineering practices and procedures required to develop, test and deploy test systems.
  • Presentation and communication skills (verbal/written/visual)
  • Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to meet critical deadlines
  • Demonstrated experience with planning and effectively coordinating projects
  • Ability to productively contribute work, ideas and collaboration as part of a cross functional team
  • Excellent computer skills with a strong proficiency in Windows interface, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Microsoft Project
  • Superb analytical, project management and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.ย  Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively to promote collaboration among the program team
  • Exceptional leadership and decision-making skills
  • Must be able to travel
  • Must be able to obtain a security clearance, if required
