We're seeking a Transportation Planning Engineer ready to step into a Project Manager role and make a meaningful impact on projects that span transportation planning, traffic engineering, active transportation, and safety initiatives. You'll join a team that thrives on innovation and delivers solutions for all modes of transportation.

The Transportation Planning group offers planning and engineering services for the full spectrum of transportation challenges, including Active Transportation Infrastructure Planning, Functional and Detailed Design, road safety, traffic analysis, regional and area transportation studies, site-specific transportation assessments, design guidelines, transportation demand management (TDM), public engagement, transit planning, and parking studies. 


Your Impact

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on transportation planning and engineering projects that shape sustainable communities.
  • Apply best practices and innovative solutions in active transportation master planning, design assignments, and traffic engineering analyses.
  • Lead project coordination and develop progressive experience in project management.
  • Prepare technical reports and memos that influence decisions on multi-modal transportation and transit projects.
  • Engage with clients and the public to communicate technical results and recommendations. 

The Skills That Set You Apart

  • Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Transportation Engineering and a valid P.Eng license.
  • 5-8+ years of experience in transportation engineering and planning, including transportation impact assessments and active transportation design.
  • Proficiency in transportation software such as Synchro/SimTraffic, HCS, Sidra, VISSIM, VISTRO, Aimsun.
  • Strong technical writing and presentation skills, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in traffic operations, site analysis, and project management with a collaborative mindset.

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YK: $104,100 - $138,000
MB & ON: $95,000 - $130,800
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $88,500 - $124,900
