Job description

As one of Xradar’s Field Technician Trainee, Concrete Imaging (NDT), you will have the opportunity to gain experience and grow your career in construction. As an Xradar Technician Trainee, Concrete Imaging (NDT), your day-to-day responsibilities may include:

  • Operate GPR equipment with Xradar™ technology to perform concrete scanning surveys.
  • Analyze and interpret scan data to identify and mark the location of embedded objects.
  • Generate basic reports with clear visualizations of scan findings.
  • Learn and apply basic engineering principles related to concrete structures and construction.
  • Exposure to fieldwork – you’ll get to know our city intimately by visiting a wide range of construction projects
  • Preparation of job sites and equipment set up, as well as necessary clean-up and maintenance of tools
  • Completion of job summary reports for client review.
  • Assist in site preparation, equipment setup and clean-up.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and best practices.

On your resume, we will be looking for the following:

  • A strong interest in pursuing a career in concrete scanning and NDT.
  • A technical diploma or degree in a related field (e.g., engineering, construction technology) is an asset, but not required.
  • Valid Class G Driver's License and clean driving abstract.
  • Basic computer skills. Experience with AutoCAD and GPS is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn and a strong work ethic.
  • Bilingual (French) is an asset, but not necessary.
