Job description

Role - qManager Developer (DTS/SSIS knowledge, MS SQL)

Location - Toronto, ON

Job Type - Contract


Must have Skills:

At least 5+ years of experience in data development and/or relevant tools

Expertise in MS SQL Server and its tools

Advanced-level knowledge on RDBMS and SQL

Proficient with Stored Procedures, Functions

Hands-on knowledge on DTS or SSIS

Proficient with various data formats (XML, csv, fixed-length record, delimited)

Working knowledge of GitLab, CI/CD and automation framework

Understanding of Sorting, bundling and data aggregation

Ability to provide accurate time, resource, and dependency estimates for MS SQL projects based on the business requirements

Knowledge of Banking document development lifecycle (data processing)

Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills

Banking and Financial Domain knowledge (Statements, Canadian Taxes, Cheque Processing)

Ability to work individually with other teams for integrating the components into the workflow

Work with the offshore counterpart and team and resolve any issues

Responsibilities:

Analyze highly complex business requirements; generate technical specifications to create data pipelines for applications

Create templates for data file pre-processing, parsing, and transforming

Leverage industry and client best practices to design, test, implement, and support a solution

Review code changes for applications

Perform unit testing of the application

Support integration testing and quality assurance

Debug end-to-end application flow for any errors and perform causal analysis

Mentor less experienced developers/Trainees

Have a Daily sync-up call with offshore team and resolve any issues, and support them

Assist with creating standards and architecting new client solutions

Work with other teams in integrating the components and running an end-to-end flow
