Job description

Empowered Staffing is partnered with an established nursing and healthcare institution with more than 40 years of experience providing high-quality education in Nursing, Ultrasound, and Massage Therapy programs. Now, the school is preparing to launch a brand-new MRI program and is seeking an experienced Program Director to lead its development and long-term success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic and administrative leadership for the MRI program across current and future locations.
  • Hire, supervise, mentor, and evaluate program faculty and the Clinical Coordinator.
  • Oversee curriculum development, course delivery, student learning outcomes, simulation activities, and continuous program improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all accreditation, licensing, regulatory, and institutional requirements.
  • Lead accreditation activities, including self-studies, annual reports, site visits, and Program Evaluation Plan oversight.
  • Partner with the Clinical Coordinator to support clinical sites, preceptors, and student placements.
  • Monitor faculty workloads, course schedules, instructional quality, and program resources.
  • Support student retention, academic advising, tutoring, and the resolution of student or faculty concerns.
  • Collaborate with college leadership on budgeting, policies, staffing, marketing, admissions, and program growth.
  • Build relationships with healthcare professionals, clinical partners, advisory committee members, and community organizations.
  • Maintain a teaching load of eight credits, with up to 16 lecture or platform hours per week.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, orientations, graduations, open houses, and other college events.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Current ARRT certification in Radiography and MRI.
  • Graduate of an accredited radiography or MRI program.
  • Unrestricted state professional license.
  • At least three years of full-time clinical MRI experience.
  • At least two years of teaching experience at a qualified institution.
  • Experience with curriculum development, student evaluation, academic advising, educational methods, and personnel supervision.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and educational technology.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least two years of leadership or management experience.
  • Experience delivering online or hybrid education.
  • Previous experience with program accreditation, regulatory compliance, simulation, and faculty development.
