The Department of Surgery is looking for a full-time, temporary (1-year) Program Coordinator.


JOB OPPORTUNITY NOTICE

Position: Program Coordinator

Status: Full-time, Temporary (1-year)

Division: Office of Education, Civic Campus

Salary Range: $29.00 – $35.00/hr

Start Date: ASAP

Vacancy Disclosure: New position


Under the general direction of the Director, the role of the Program Coordinator is to assist the Program Directors with the gathering and entering of information pertinent to the administration of education, as well assisting with various administrative tasks pertaining to educational events.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintaining education portfolios
  • Supporting learners with education-related issues
  • Coordinating all curricular aspects such as lectures and examinations
  • Communicating with potential program applicants
  • Organizing interview days and program events
  • Hosting program meetings
  • Supporting Program Director with a variety of tasks as they arise
  • Maintaining confidential information
  • Managing learner performance systems
  • Liaising with external and internal stakeholders, including Universities and Hospitals
  • Other related tasks as assigned by Director


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completion of at least a 3 year post-secondary education program
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in an administrative capacity
  • Fully fluent in spoken and written English
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, Word
  • Demonstrates attention to detail, initiative, excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Must have ability to multi-task with an attention to detail, demonstrating organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills
  • Previous experience working in a hospital environment is an asset
