ACE Wellness Center’s Day Treatment Director will complete research, develop, and plan outreach programs that promote their organization and contribute to its overall success. The programs they create include all procedures, deadlines, and a budget they must adhere to. Day Treatment Director must maintain knowledge of the laws and regulations that pertain to the organization’s operations and ensure that all programs act within those requirements.
The DT Director supervises each staff and is responsible for all areas that assist in facilitating the agency’s functionality. This is not necessarily an all-inclusive list of job-related responsibilities, duties, skills, efforts, requirements or working conditions. While this is intended to be an accurate reflection of the current job, management reserves the right to revise the job or to require that other or different tasks be performed as assigned.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead large group discussions to answer questions and remedy complaints.
  • Create and nurture effective communication within the organization.
    Build a strong team through open communication and by collaborating on decision-making responsibilities.
  • Initiate and set goals for programs based on the organization’s strategic objectives.
  • Plan programmatic events from start to finish, including identifying processes, deadlines, and milestones.
  • Develop operations and budgets.
  • Develops, conducts, and evaluates staff education and training around therapeutic communications, interactions, and consumer satisfaction.
  • Provides role modeling and feedback to the direct care staff on milieu management and behavioral and cognitive strategies.
  • Develops, implements, evaluates, and revises the management program
  • Provides behavior management education and consultation for clients, families, and significant others.
  • Coordinates, consults, and collaborates with the outpatient treatment team and the multidisciplinary treatment team to provide follow-through of the behavioral treatment plan to improve communication and coordination across levels of care. This includes schools, wrap-around services, partial programs, RTFs, mobile crisis, IOP, group homes and applicable outpatient services.
  • Participates in specific program leadership meetings and coordinates the implementation of administrative, clinical, training, and educational decisions in the daily functioning of the program.
  • Demonstrates and has advanced knowledge of structured clinical assessment tools including specific measures of psychiatric symptomatology, functional behavior assessments, family functioning, and academic achievement within ability to communicate results of evaluations to consumers, families, and referral agencies/ professionals.
  • Assumes routine administrative responsibilities as indicated and assists in developing and implementing policies and procedures.
  • Maintains relevant documentation, departmental statistics, and direct clinical contact commensurate with caseload.
  • Maintains competencies of direct reports, if applicable. Provides direct reports with clinical and administrative supervision and mentorship.
  • Demonstrates the ability to communicate both verbally and written with a multidisciplinary staff. Attends unit meetings, actively identifies areas for improvement and collaborates with the unit leadership to implement programmatic revisions.
  • Participates with management in evaluating client satisfaction and assists in developing and implementing recommended actions.
  • Completes the responsibilities of the position accurately and efficiently.
  • Demonstrates extensive knowledge and understanding of the symptomatic display of behavioral dysfunction accompanying current DSM disorders.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of behavioral management principles and can formulate, implement, and evaluate behavioral treatment plans.
  • Demonstrates the ability to provide behavioral and clinical supervision for the direct care staff and all unit employees.
  • Receives referrals and delegates to the appropriate clinical staff.
  • Assumes other responsibilities as directed.

Position Requirements:

  • Master’s in social work with State of Ohio LSW certification.
  • Six years of clinical social work experience with children and families.
  • Experience with mental health and education/special education services preferred.
  • Experience in supervision preferred.
  • Valid Ohio State driver’s license.
