Based on our vibrant campus in Farmington, Maine, this exempt, full-time position is your chance to expand educational horizons for high school students across the state. If you want to bridge the gap between secondary schools and university life while making a lasting institutional impact, we want to hear from you.
Based on the qualifications and experience of the successful applicant, the anticipated annual salary for this position is up to $58,000 plus a 10% employer contribution to the UMS retirement plan. Why This Role Matters
As the Director of Early College Partnerships, you aren't just managing enrollment-you are building pathways to the future. You will be the face of UMF's early college programs, working directly with K-12 partners, high school counselors, parents, and academic departments to give Maine students a head start on their college journey. From coordinating concurrent enrollment to leading the charge on national accreditation (NACEP), your work will shape the strategic growth of our campus community.

  • Forge Powerful Alliances: Act as the primary liaison to public and private high schools, visiting campuses to recruit, inspire, and orient future Beavers.
  • Drive Innovation: Develop and implement plans to expand program delivery through both face-to-face and distance learning modalities.
  • Champion Student Success: Create robust systems of support-including orientations, academic coaching, and progress tracking-to ensure early college students thrive.
  • Collaborate Across Campus: Partner with Admissions, Division Chairs, Financial Services, and the University of Maine System (UMS) to ensure a seamless, student-centered experience.
  • Lead Accreditation: Maintain high-quality standards by guiding the program through the NECHE and NACEP initial accreditation and renewal timelines.

Who We Are Looking For
Required Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience developing programmatic partnerships or related work.
  • Core Skills: Outstanding communication skills, a collaborative spirit, sharp problem-solving abilities, and a high comfort level with modern digital tools (Google Suite, Zoom, ExplorEC, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience developing strategic partnerships.
  • Experience teaching or working closely with high school or collegiate students.
  • A strong understanding of student support services and academic divisions.
