Job description

SoundCloud empowers artists, tastemakers and fans to connect and share through music. Founded in 2007, SoundCloud is a creator-first platform helping artists build and grow their careers by providing them with the most advanced tools, services, and resources. With over 4x the music catalog of every other major streaming platform, spanning 40+ million artists across 190+ countries, SoundCloud is where emerging artists find their sound, hidden gems are discovered, and music culture is shaped in real time.

SoundCloud is seeking a Senior Programmatic Technical Account Manager to support the scaling and operationalization of our global programmatic advertising business. This role will sit under Revenue Operations and partner closely with Engineering, Product, Accounting, and external advertising partners to support programmatic monetization capabilities across global display, video, and primarily audio advertising formats.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience across programmatic integrations, troubleshooting, demand partner management, and yield optimization within web and mobile.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and support relationships with programmatic advertising partners, exchanges, platforms, data providers (e.g., LiveRamp, Permutive), and demand sources across web and mobile/in-app
  • Lead the integration, implementation, and operationalization of programmatic advertising technologies, demand sources, and partner solutions
  • Establish and maintain scalable programmatic processes, documentation, playbooks, training materials, and best practices to support partner onboarding, integrations, and ongoing operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical programmatic delivery, reporting, monetization, and integration issues across internal systems and external partners, inclusive of Google Ad Manager (GAM)
  • Enable ongoing optimization and scalability of programmatic advertising workflows across display, video, and audio advertising formats
  • Analyze programmatic performance to inform pricing, yield, inventory optimization, and broader monetization strategies that improve revenue and partner outcomes.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales Strategy, Engineering, Product, Data, Accounting, and Ad Operations teams to support programmatic operations, partner integrations, and monetization initiatives
  • Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and programmatic best practices while providing recommendations to improve monetization performance, operational effectiveness, and advertising capabilities

Experience and Background:

  • 5-8+ years of experience in programmatic advertising, ad operations, technical account management, monetization operations, or related digital advertising roles
  • Deep technical expertise and execution in mobile and in-app programmatic environments
  • Strong understanding of programmatic advertising ecosystems, including bidding environments, exchanges, ad serving technologies, demand platforms, and monetization workflows
  • Hands-on experience supporting programmatic integrations, implementation, troubleshooting, and operational scaling across advertising technologies and partner platforms, including Google Ad Manager (GAM)
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, including experience using SQL, reporting tools, and data analysis workflows to investigate programmatic performance, resolve monetization issues, and support business reporting
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, Revenue Operations, and external partners
  • Pricing strategy, yield management, inventory optimization, or monetization analytics is a plus!
