The role of an Electronic Maintenance Technician is pivotal to our operational success. Position Responsibilities:

  • Obtain work assignments from the job board, team leader, or other accepted shop procedures.

  • Review schematics, logic ladders, drawings, specifications, and regulatory codes for assigned jobs.

  • Service, maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions by collaborating with operators, vendors, and engineers.

  • Wear appropriate PPE and comply with safety procedures, including Lockout, Tag, Tryout (LOTTO) and confined space protocols.

  • Use mechanical lifts (e.g., scissor lifts, forklifts) to access work areas safely.

  • Disassemble and reassemble electronic components or subsystems for inspection and repairs.

  • Repair, replace, or reprogram components as needed, securing or ordering replacement parts when necessary.

  • Install, crimp, terminate, and solder wires using approved methods; install and repair conduits or raceways.

  • Utilize electronic test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, meters) to test and calibrate electronic components and systems, including performing antenna and transmission line tests.

  • Install and edit software and machine programs as required, ensuring systems are up to date.

  • Clean electronic components and computer controls using appropriate solvents and equipment.

  • Conduct follow-up tests to verify that issues have been resolved and confer with operators as needed.

  • Create detailed documentation of work performed and communicate with the next shift to ensure continuity.

  • Collaborate with co-workers, supervisors, and engineers to analyze and improve facility and equipment design.

  • Maintain applicable licenses, certifications, and knowledge of electronic theory, software programming languages, and mathematical concepts (e.g., binary, hexadecimal) to effectively troubleshoot and repair systems.

Physical Demands and Potential Hazards:

  • Perform physical tasks that include lifting weights ranging from 10-15 lbs to 15-35 lbs.

  • Engage in various movements such as reaching, handling, turning, twisting, lifting, lowering, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and squatting.

  • Work in environments that may involve contact with metals, solvents, and coolants.

  • Operate in proximity to moving parts and tools, sharp cutters, and potential slipping hazards.

  • Adapt to varying noise levels and atmospheric conditions.

  • Utilize personal safety gear to protect face/eyes, hands/arms, and feet while performing job duties.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.62 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee

Basic Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of electronic/electrical experience including related education in any of the following fields: machine tool maintenance, industrial electronic and/or electrical maintenance field, or military electronic/electrical system maintenance.

  • Must possess valid State of Oregon Electrical License at the Manufacturing Plant level or higher and/or the ability to reciprocate your state's license into Oregon.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience operating CNC (Computer Numerical Controlled) machine tools

  • 1+ years of experience troubleshooting and operating PLCs (programmable logic controls) preferably Siemens and Allen Bradley.
