Job description

About the Company

Our client is a well-established electronics manufacturing company supporting some of the world's most demanding industries, including aerospace, defense, space, and advanced technology. They specialize in manufacturing high-reliability printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) and complex electronic systems that are integrated into mission-critical products where precision, quality, and on-time delivery are essential.

As the company continues to grow, they are seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead customer programs and serve as the primary liaison between clients and internal operations.

Position Overview

As the Program Manager, you will oversee customer programs from initial planning through final delivery. You'll work closely with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, production, and quality teams to ensure projects stay on schedule, meet customer expectations, and achieve cost and quality objectives.

This is a highly visible role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys managing multiple customer programs while driving operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer programs throughout the complete project lifecycle, from kickoff through production and delivery.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, providing regular communication and project updates.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Production, and Quality to ensure successful execution.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, budgets, and risk mitigation plans.
  • Monitor program performance and proactively resolve issues that may impact cost, quality, or delivery.
  • Support customer quotations, contract reviews, and program launch activities.
  • Track key performance indicators and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Build strong customer relationships while ensuring contractual commitments are achieved.
  • Identify opportunities to improve internal processes and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Manage multiple programs simultaneously while balancing shifting priorities and deadlines.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Program Management or Project Management experience within electronics manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Experience managing customer-facing manufacturing programs from planning through production.
  • Strong understanding of electronic manufacturing processes, PCB/PCBA production, or contract manufacturing operations.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills.
  • Familiarity with quality and regulatory standards such as AS9100, ISO 9001, ITAR, and DFARS.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident due to ITAR requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
  • Experience working in an Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) environment.
  • Knowledge of ESD practices and PCB/PCBA manufacturing.
  • PMP or other Project Management certification.
  • Experience supporting aerospace, defense, or space industry customers.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

  • Join a growing, stable electronics manufacturer supporting mission-critical aerospace and defense programs.
  • Work directly with customers while leading high-impact manufacturing projects.
  • Collaborate with experienced engineering and operations teams in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
  • Competitive compensation, long-term career growth, and the opportunity to make a measurable impact on customer success.
