About the role

The Mater Private Hospital Redland Administration team has an opportunity available for an experienced Administration Support Officer to join the team. Shift times range from 6:00am through to 7:00pm Monday - Friday and weekend hours 8am - 4pm. The successful application will be offered casual employment.

Salary range: $37.79 - $44.25 per hour plus casual loadingย plus superannuationย andaccess to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900+access to many staff benefits!

What you'll be doing

  • Providing Exceptional Customer Service to patients, Visiting Medical Officers, and clients. You will frequently liaise with the VMO's and their receptionists
  • Processing patient admissions, ensuring accurate data entry input and managing theatre schedules
  • Providing administrative support to clinical staff across the Patient Services and wider Mater team
  • Maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality, complying with administration, and financial policies and procedures, maintaining accurate, current, and accessible files, including maintenance of records of relevant meetings and discussions
  • Provide administrative assistance to other senior staff and others as requested
  • Exercise judgement where necessary to solve immediate problems in situations where precedents have not been setย andย procedures not defined

About you

  • Highly experienced in providing medical administration support (essential)
  • Highly developed time management and organisational skills
  • Strong computer skills including competence in using Patient Administration systems (or the ability to quickly learn new systems)
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills and ability to work under the direction of others in a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Ability to organise and prioritise work effectively within a busy, fast-paced and demanding environment
