About the Agency: The Mississippi Division of Medicaid responsibly provides access to quality health coverage for vulnerable Mississippians. Medicaid provides health coverage for eligible, low-income populations in Mississippi. These populations include children, low-income families, pregnant women, the aged and disabled.
About the Position: Program Specialist II will be responsible for monitoring Buy-In for eligible Medicaid & Medicare members. Person in this position will be responsible for contacting the Medicaid Regional Offices to ensure newly entitled Medicare members are converted to the correct Medicare Cost-Sharing Program timely. The Program Specialist II will be responsible for multiple reports; including tracking deceased and members who the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services has reported as having Medicaid coverage in another state.
What you'll need to be Successful: Effective communication and customer service skills. Staff member will be responsible for communicating with aged and disabled members; as well as our state, and federal partners. Time management and organization skills are a must. Interested applicant must be willing to work closely with others as an effective team member. Special projects come up and applicants must be willing and able to pivot and adjust to perform the task successfully.
Preferred Qualifications: Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years of experience. Agency preferred qualifications:Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of experience.
