Position Details

What Will You Do:

  • Manage complex IT application development and infrastructure projects.
  • Define and be accountable for the project - scope, schedule, budget, quality and project management plan.
  • Monitor the budget, keep track of actual cost monthly, and initiate corrective actions before variances exceed approved thresholds.
  • Ensure project delivery is as per standards and best practices defined in CCG's project management framework.
  • Provide project management direction and guidance to teams, adhering to proven project management methodologies including Scrum agile.
  • Create winning IT strategies to achieve the project goals and deliver all the mandates of the business case driving the project.
  • Develop and support innovative solutions to meet the needs of the business and align the solution with the existing system architecture capabilities.
  • Act as a communications conduit to business stakeholders/partners to ascertain the project is fulfilling the business needs.
  • Monitor and respond swiftly to issues, risks, and decisions; escalate issues promptly when necessary.
  • Management of project resources in collaboration with the functional managers/directors.
  • Provide regular status updates to sponsors, stakeholders, steering committee members, C-level executives regarding progress and emerging issues.

Who You Are

  • Must be a team player with an intrapreneurship mindset.
  • Hands on, seasoned, and well-organized professional with effective time management skills.
  • Can rally her/his team to focus on quality delivery, pays attention to the right details.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or an analytical discipline.
  • 7+ years of dedicated IT project management experience.
  • Successfully managed and delivered complex IT projects (i.e., digital transformation, multi-year, multiple phases/deliverables, with cross functional dependencies, across lines of businesses etc.).
  • Possess robust project management knowledge, practical technical knowledge, and strong business management skills.
  • Excellent foundational skills in project management life cycle and with tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA etc.
  • Ability to multi-task and have resilience in dealing with shifting priorities or operating in an uncertain environment when all the details are not established (e.g., during the initiation phase).
  • Solid leader who can rally teams towards the vision, mission, goals of the organization with ease.
  • Ability to influence without authority through negotiation, interpersonal skills, and motivation skills.
  • Strong ability to inspire others to build high performance teams and achieve extraordinary results in a fast paced (and rewarding) work culture
  • Exemplary communications skills specifically in communicating complex/technical information to a wide audience.
  • Experienced in creating SOW, contracts, and managing vendors.
  • Strong understanding of technology concepts including SOA architecture, web services, data exchange standards, mobile development, data warehouse, B2B/B2C systems etc.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification an asset.
  • Certified Scrum Master designation is an asset.
  • Guidewire product knowledge is an asset.
  • SAP product knowledge is an asset.
