Senior Commercial Construction Project Manager
Albany, Syracuse and Buffalo, NY
Fusco Personnel is seeking Senior Construction Project Managers to oversee large-scale and technically complex commercial construction building projects. This position will lead operations on-site and be responsible for overall project execution, financial performance, team leadership, safety, scheduling, and client satisfaction.
This opportunity is ideal for a construction professional who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys solving complex challenges, and has a strong background managing commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
Responsibilities:
  • Direct all phases of construction projects, including planning, execution, scheduling, budgeting, and closeout
  • Lead site operations while maintaining accountability for project safety, quality, cost control, and schedule performance
  • Develop and manage project controls, reporting systems, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Oversee project financials including forecasting, billing, contract compliance, and change management
  • Coordinate with superintendents, engineers, subcontractors, and project staff to ensure successful project delivery
  • Create and maintain project schedules, identify potential delays, and implement recovery plans when needed
  • Support subcontractor procurement efforts, including scope development, bid reviews, and contract administration
  • Ensure compliance with insurance, bonding, and contractual obligations
  • Facilitate constructability reviews and coordination meetings throughout the project lifecycle
  • Build and maintain strong client, partner, and industry relationships
  • Mentor and develop project team members while fostering a positive and inclusive work environment
  • Collaborate with business development and leadership teams on client engagement and pursuit strategies
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering along with approximately 8+ years of experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large or complex projects successfully
  • Experience with budgeting, scheduling, project controls, and contract administration
  • Proficiency with construction industry software and Microsoft Office applications


Salary: $123,600 - $158,200 (Our client will pay higher for experience) plus benefits and retirement program
