Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead execution coordination for a large-scale, multi-site manufacturing ramp-up across Ironton and Franklin Furnace. This role is responsible for driving disciplined execution across headcount ramp, training readiness, onboarding, and operational milestone tracking.
The Project Manager will serve as the central coordination point for all ramp activities, ensuring alignment across Operations, HR, Talent Acquisition, Training, Finance, and external staffing partners. This role ensures all workstreams are integrated, tracked, and executed on time to support rapid production expansion.
Location: Onsite - Ironton & Franklin Furnace, Ohio (Multi-Site Role)
Reports To: Director of Operations
Key Responsibilities Program Execution & Coordination
  • Own integrated project tracking for multi-site ramp-up activities
  • Manage execution of 21+ headcount and crew readiness milestones across 8 production lines
  • Maintain master ramp schedule covering hiring, onboarding, training, and readiness milestones
  • Ensure alignment between workforce ramp plans and operational timelines

Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Drive coordination across Operations, HR, TA, Training, Finance, and temp agencies
  • Facilitate weekly ramp status meetings and updates
  • Ensure clear ownership, accountability, and escalation paths for all deliverables
  • Act as central point of contact for cross-functional execution alignment

Headcount & Staffing Tracking
  • Track hiring progress against ramp demand plans
  • Monitor direct hire, temp-to-hire, and internal movement pipelines
  • Identify gaps between staffing progress and operational needs
  • Partner with HR and TA to ensure timely escalation of hiring risks

Training & Readiness Management
  • Coordinate training capacity planning with Training leadership
  • Track certification and onboarding capacity against ramp demand
  • Identify and escalate training bottlenecks impacting readiness
  • Align training schedules with hiring velocity and production timelines

Risk & Issue Management
  • Proactively identify execution risks across staffing, training, and operations
  • Maintain risk tracking and mitigation plans
  • Drive rapid escalation and resolution of cross-functional issues
  • Ensure issues are resolved before impacting readiness milestones

Reporting & Governance
  • Build and maintain dashboards for headcount, training, and readiness tracking
  • Provide weekly executive-level updates on ramp status, risks, and mitigation actions
  • Ensure data integrity across all tracking systems
  • Standardize reporting to enable consistent decision-making across sites

Required Qualifications
  • 5-10+ years experience in project management, operations coordination, or manufacturing execution
  • Experience managing complex, multi-workstream initiatives in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong cross-functional coordination experience (HR, Operations, TA, Training, Finance)
  • Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines, dependencies, and priorities
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Experience building structured tracking tools or dashboards

Preferred Qualifications
  • Manufacturing ramp-up or expansion experience
  • Workforce planning or staffing coordination experience
  • Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement exposure
  • Multi-site operational coordination experience
