Job Description Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing interior design projects from concept through completion for an owner occupier of class A office space. This position is part of an integrated Cushman & Wakefield management team working closely with the facility & engineering, project management, space planning and occupancy teams and the client, to deliver design and project management solutions in alignment with client workplace strategy and aesthetics.

Job Description

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing interior design projects from concept through completion for Securian Financial, an owner occupier of class A office in downtown St. Paul.. This position is part of an integrated Cushman & Wakefield management team working closely with the facility & engineering, project management, space planning and occupancy teams and the client, to deliver design and project management solutions in alignment with client workplace strategy and aesthetics.

  • Manage interior design and furniture projects including planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact regarding interior design projects, understanding needs and translating them into actionable design plans.
  • Participate in development and monitoring of budgets. Manage procurement of materials and furnishings.
  • Participate in development and maintenance of project timelines, ensuring milestones are met, and resources are allocated efficiently.
  • Conduct site visits to ensure work aligns with design specifications and quality standards.
  • Ensure all work complies with building codes, safety regulations, and sustainability practices.
  • Prepare project reports, meeting notes, and design documentation for internal use.
  • Assist in maintaining inventories of furniture onsite and in vendor warehouses.
  • Onsite move management for medium (10+) and large projects
  • Position is hybrid (3 days in the office per week)

IMPORTANT EDUCATION

  • B.S. Degree in Interior Design from a CIDA or NASAD accredited university or college

IMPORTANT EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 7 years' directly related experience in interior design and project management
  • Hands-on experience with tenant improvement construction projects preferred

ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to read and understand construction specifications and blueprints
  • Proficient with Bluebeam
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office Suite (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
