Principal Project/Program Manager

Overall Purpose: This role is responsible for supporting project execution and ensuring alignment to scope, schedule, and budget through effective resource coordination and the use of industry-standard methodologies. Supporting call delivery program execution for Consumer Customer Care call centers, this position drives work end to end-from intake through deployment-and partners across Care and Technology teams to move call delivery initiatives forward. The role helps translate strategic direction into clear requirements, delivery plans, and operational outcomes, while also supporting governance, leadership updates, risk identification, dependency management, and key decision-making.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
  • End-to-End Project Management: Support projects from initiation to completion, helping ensure delivery is on time, within budget, and aligned to defined quality standards.
  • Project Planning and Scheduling: Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, resource allocations, and status reports that guide execution and keep work aligned to objectives.
  • Stakeholder and Vendor Communication: Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, clients, and vendors to provide updates, facilitate meetings, and manage expectations.
  • Quality Assurance and Issue Resolution: Review project deliverables to help ensure adherence to quality standards and take proactive steps to identify, analyze, and resolve issues and risks.
  • Other Duties as Assigned: Support processes related to resource management, data analysis, reporting, and team collaboration.

An expert in the field, this role applies broad business knowledge and strategic insight surrounding emerging trends and technologies to solve complex problems and drive organizational results. The position leads critical, high-impact projects, helps design and implement innovative business strategies, and works with minimal oversight while frequently consulting senior leadership and
influencing executive decisions. This role also serves as a mentor and assists
others with challenging issues.
Must Have Requirements
  • 7+ years of related experience in a large corporate environment
  • Experience supporting projects from initiation through completion
  • Ability to drive work end to end, from intake through deployment
  • Experience coordinating across cross-functional teams, including Care and Technology
  • Ability to define requirements, manage dependencies, track progress, and identify risks and decision points
  • Experience developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, resource allocations, status reports, governance materials, and leadership updates
  • Strong communication skills to work with stakeholders, clients, and vendors and manage expectations effectively
  • Ability to ensure quality standards and proactively resolve issues and risks
  • Broad business knowledge and strategic insight related to emerging trends and technologies
  • Ability to work with minimal oversight, influence decisions, and support others with complex issues
  • Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) desired

Our Principal Project/Program Mgmt earns between $130,700 - $196,100 USD Annual. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
