Job description

Job Title: Project Manager
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Project Manager to join our team and support critical engineering and sciences initiatives. The Project Manager will collaborate closely with the Project Management Supervisor and Client Sponsor to formulate and validate project work plans. This role involves monitoring the planning, engineering, design, and construction efforts to ensure they align with project plans, as well as assisting in data gathering and analysis for project reporting, scheduled deliverables, and budget management.

Responsibilities

  • Make recommendations to the Project Management Supervisor and/or Client Sponsor to address project issues, inefficiencies, and concerns.
  • Assist the Project Team in developing and scoping documents, schedules, deliverables, and cost estimates.
  • Coordinate with supply chain and project stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Oversee the bid process and hold contractors accountable for the system safety process.
  • Coordinate construction activities with the Clientโ€™s project team.
  • Coordinate activities required for the successful installation of assigned projects under the supervision of the Program Manager and/or Client Sponsor.
  • Work with Client Sponsor leadership to determine reporting requirements and provide reports at determined intervals to support business needs.
  • Oversee and ensure adherence to the Clientโ€™s internal processes related to project management.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in project budgets, projections, cost tracking, and cost analysis.
  • Experience in construction management, construction, and engineering.
  • Two to five years of experience in project management with capital projects.
  • Two to five years of experience interfacing with engineering procurement and construction personnel.
  • Two to five years of experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Business, Construction Management, Project Management, or Engineering. Note: Engineering degrees must be from an ABET accredited university.
Work Environment

The work environment is dynamic and collaborative, involving coordination with a diverse team of professionals. The role requires adherence to safety processes and internal project management procedures. The position involves standard office hours with occasional site visits, and a professional dress code is expected during interactions with clients and stakeholders.
