Job description

As a Project Manager in Building Automation here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for managing and executing complex programs within the Building Automation (BA) business unit. You will play a key role in driving the success of our projects and ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions to our customers. With your expertise in program management, you will contribute to the growth and profitability of the business.

You will report directly to our Sr Program Manager and you'll work out of Winnipeg, MB location on a hybrid work schedule.

Your projects will vary in scope and will therefore require in-depth knowledge of the construction field, particularly in building automation or mechanical.

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in building automation technologies and/or HVAC and/or in project management/site coordination in the field of construction.
  • Completed postsecondary degree in a relevant field of study.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
  • Minimum 1 year of demonstrated experience using the Microsoft Suite (namely Excel)
  • Capacity to travel up to 10% within the province

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage project schedules and budgets while ensuring that contractual requirements and technical specifications are met and aligned with client expectations.
  • Proactively coordinate and plan workforce, material orders, and subcontractor installations.
  • Review all contractual documents relating to the work.
  • Assess, manage, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Report on project progress to the project manager.
  • Evaluate subcontractor performance.
  • Direct and monitor the performance of technical teams on-site to ensure project objectives are met efficiently and effectively
  • Prepare end-of-project documents and warranties.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by providing 5-star service through advice and recommendations to clients.
  • Health, safety, and statutory compliance: Conduct hazard and risk assessments for all tasks in accordance with Honeywell policy and regulatory requirements
  • The selected candidate will need to obtain the necessary safety approvals required by the clients.
