Job description

The Project Coordinator is responsible for various coordination and administrative duties surrounding a project or a portfolio of projects. The incumbent will work closely with the assigned Project Manager and Site Superintendent.

There is one vacancy for this position.

Job Type

This is a full-time role, on a 4 Days On / 3 Days Off Rotation for candidates local to Bissett, Manitoba or a 2 Weeks On / 2 Weeks Off Rotation for candidates who reside outside of the project area.

Work Location and Arrangements

This position is for employment in Bissett, Manitoba. Camp accommodation & meals provided.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

As a Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Assist Site Superintendent and Project Manager with development and implementation of efficient scheduling processes to meet production goals
  • Coordinate with Site Superintendent to develop and execute production plans
  • Perform clerical duties i.e., answering the telephone, relaying messages, maintaining an accurate filing system
  • Develop daily, weekly and/or monthly production status reports for Site Superintendent
  • Participate in progress meetings and prepare minutes
  • Monitor workflow and production to ensure on-time delivery of materials
  • Assist department heads in ordering and stocking adequate materials to avoid delays
  • Schedule and prioritize all inbound and outbound shipments
  • Prepare and maintain reports on the progress of work and materials used
  • Prepare and submit all timesheets, time trackers, and related documentation to the main office for payroll and billing purposes
  • Track other resources such as equipment and subcontractor hours
  • Prepare and submit progress and status reports as required by Project Manager and / or Cost Control
  • Track project resources such as equipment and subcontractor hours.
  • Prepare requisitions for materials, tools, and/or equipment associated with the project.
  • Coordinate the distribution of personal protective equipment and workclothes.
  • Perform file saving and archiving as per site document control guidelines.
  • Assist with payroll validation.
  • Assist with the development of QA plans, QA checks, and handover packages.
  • Assist with subcontractor management program.
  • Assist with material receiving.
  • Prioritize and organize material at assigned laydown areas, if required.
  • Assist Project Managers/Supervisors/Superintendents as required.

Qualifications

Essential qualifications include:

  • Minimum Education: Post secondary education in Business, Accounting, Engineering, or Engineering Technology is considered an asset. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • Minimum Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in scheduling/planning and tracking, including scheduling, processing orders, etc., or related position.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to always represent the company in a professional manner.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, advanced written and communication skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with distinct closure dates.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to operate a forklift or willingness to learn.

Compensation

The hourly compensation range for the position is between $30.00-$50.00 depending on experience.
