Operations Director
We're looking for experienced humanitarians who will use their skills implementing multi-sectoral emergency response projects to oversee the effective implementation of the response programmes.
As an Operations Director, you will provide overall leadership to the response operations team. As a member of the Response Leadership Team, you will be responsible for fostering an enabling environment that supports World Vision's strategic priorities and imperatives. You will also lead the implementation of the Response Strategy to promote integration and ensure timely, effective implementation of the programme's portfolio of projects in pursuit of Child Well-Being.
You will oversee the implementation of systems, infrastructure, partnerships and capacity building to address core security requirements and staff care, as well as spearhead external engagement in order to position the organisation for sustainment and growth, and to influence and promote coordination with key stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • You have 5-7 years of (mid-level/senior-level) experience with International NGOs in emergency relief, rehabilitation and transition programming especially in fragile contexts.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a field related to humanitarian leadership, international development, business administration, economics, rural development or similar. Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience in the implementation of multi-sectoral emergency response projects.
  • Excellent decision-making skills and ability to take calculated mitigated risks.
  • Experience in leading a multi-cultural team of professionals.
