Position Summary... What you'll do...The Senior Director, Operations is a senior operational and strategic leader who oversees the execution of large-scale, complex projects and programs while developing cross-functional business solutions within Walmart’s Site Merchandise Experience & Strategy team. This exciting opportunity will provide overall strategic direction and drive initiatives that generate revenue and advance Walmart’s digital site experience and will work primarily with product management, merchandising, engineering, and eCommerce strategy partners across Walmart. 
The role is based in Bentonville, AR (Home Office).

  • Significant experience overseeing large-scale, complex projects and programs across multiple workstreams, with a track record of driving successful implementations 

  • Strong analytical capabilities with experience translating data and business trends into strategic recommendations and actionable plans 

  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams, including talent development, mentorship, workforce planning, and succession 

  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and build internal and external partnerships to drive business outcomes 

  • Background in eCommerce, merchandising, retail strategy, or a related field; comfort operating at the intersection of business strategy and technology

  • Overseeing the execution of large-scale, complex projects, workstreams, and programs by managing project plans, task timelines, and communication materials — identifying performance standards, developing contingency plans, and managing budget approvals to ensure successful delivery 

  • Developing recommendations for decision support by sourcing and analyzing data to surface business trends, translating insights into strategic recommendations, and partnering cross-functionally to build processes that meet business goals 

  • Directing the implementation of business solutions by building key stakeholder partnerships, serving as subject matter expert, developing scorecards and tracking mechanisms, and driving execution through customer service and platform development 

  • Providing overall strategic direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs, developing and communicating business strategies, evaluating operational processes, and capitalizing on improvement opportunities 

  • Developing and implementing strategies to attract, develop, and retain a highly skilled workforce — including diagnosing capability gaps, supporting mentorship and succession planning, and cultivating a culture of integrity, belonging, and continuous learning

The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00 - $260,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
