What can you expect?

As a Program Manager, you will report to the Anchorage, AK office and work closely with the Regional Director. You will be responsible for strategic leadership to support growing and sustaining environmental service programs. Additionally, will support contractual and field efforts in addition to proposal development efforts and will be responsible for cultivating and maintaining business relationships.

How will you do it?

  • In conjunction with the Regional Director, develop overall direction to guide planning at the service, client and contract level.
  • Ensure business development and program delivery efforts stay aligned to strategic goals.
  • Ensure programs meet the expected goals and deliver the planned benefits.
  • Identify, analyze and prepare for program risks and ensure compliance to quality, safety and security processes.
  • Support policies and procedures of the organization to enhance overall operation and effectiveness with Safety as a primary focus.
  • Identify and manage conflicts and support a high-performance team environment where diversity is valued, and people are treated with respect and dignity.
  • Provide direct input by generating leads and providing technical support for proposal development.
  • Collaborate with various groups within Calista, Bilista and multiple client organizations.
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has supervisory responsibilities to include but not limited to Environmental Scientists, Engineers, Chemists, Technicians, and Project Managers.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Experienced leader with appropriate industry experience.
  • Strategic thinker with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and operational focus.
  • Desire and drive to develop and grow an expanding environmental services portfolio.
  • Knowledge of laws, legal codes, government regulations, executive orders, and agency rules governing environmental projects and programs.
  • Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, to deal effectively with a variety of interpersonal relationships and situations.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in an Alaska Native Corporation multi-business environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science or Engineering discipline.
  • Ten to twenty years of proven experience in environmental services, particularly in federal and state contracts, leading projects/programs in excess of $50M.
