Position Summary

The Digital Marketing Manager serves as the lead communications and media professional for the Vermont Work for Warriors Program. This position is responsible for developing and executing digital marketing strategies, creating multimedia content, managing social media platforms, supporting employment outreach initiatives, and increasing awareness of Work for Warriors services among Vermont National Guard members, veterans, reservists, service members, families, employers, and community stakeholders.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDigital Marketing & Communications
  • Develop, implement, and maintain digital marketing strategies that support employment outreach objectives.
  • Create engaging content across social media, websites, newsletters, podcasts, videos, and print collateral.
  • Manage and maintain the Work for Warriors website and related digital platforms.
  • Ensure website compliance with accessibility standards and government branding requirements.
  • Monitor digital engagement metrics and optimize content performance.
Content Development & Multimedia Production
  • Design and produce marketing materials, brochures, flyers, infographics, newsletters, and promotional content.
  • Create and edit professional videos, podcasts, interviews, and digital storytelling content.
  • Develop employment-focused content that assists clients with job search readiness, including:
    • Video resumes
    • Digital portfolios
    • Professional social media profiles
    • Resume and cover letter resources
    • Digital literacy tools
Social Media Management
  • Manage social media presence across multiple platforms.
  • Create and publish content calendars and campaign schedules.
  • Monitor audience engagement and community interactions.
  • Analyze social media performance and prepare reports on reach, engagement, and return on investment.
Public Relations & Outreach Support
  • Write press releases, success stories, and promotional materials.

Minimum QualificationsEducation

Experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in digital marketing, communications, content creation, or multimedia production.
  • Experience managing social media campaigns and digital communications strategies.
  • Experience creating multimedia content for multiple communication channels.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or comparable design platforms.
  • Advanced video editing and audio production skills.
  • Experience with website content management systems (CMS).
  • Knowledge of SEO, social media analytics, and digital marketing best practices.
  • Strong graphic design, copywriting, and storytelling abilities.
