Your Role
The Maintenance Technician 2 is an experienced level position within the Manufacturing Maintenance team. The Manufacturing Maintenance team is responsible for the maintenance of a wide range of equipment used in the manufacturing process, including manual and some basic automated machinery. Maintenance activity may require manual intervention, inspection, and hands-on repairs by maintenance technicians. Manufacturing maintenance technicians require a variety of skills to handle different types of equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Duties include:
  • Daily intermediate level preventive and breakdown maintenance of production equipment - mechanically, pneumatically, and electrically.
  • Intermediate-level activities on a wide range of equipment, from strictly manual processes to basic automated machinery.
  • Intervention into processes for inspection and hands-on activities to ensure proper safe state and quality product built post-repair.
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform needed repairs.
  • Support operations schedule by minimizing equipment downtime.
  • Work cross functionally with operations, quality, and engineering.
  • Evaluate and optimize Preventative Maintenance (PM) activities.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of all activities.
  • Support equipment, identify and report safety/quality/productivity concerns, ensure EHS compliance, communicate issues, contribute to continuous improvement, maintain workspace cleanliness, and participate in sustainability efforts, all while working under limited supervision.

Physical Attributes
  • Physical flexibility to interact with and troubleshoot machinery and equipment.

Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications
  • 3+ years of manufacturing equipment maintenance experience
  • High school diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years manufacturing equipment maintenance or related experience within an ISO certified or cGMP manufacturing environment.
  • Intermediate level of electro-mechanical and pneumatic knowledge.
  • Proven mechanical, machine tool, and equipment repair skills.
  • Experience and ability to become a Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW).
  • Familiarity with EH&S, ISO, cGMP, and other regulatory requirements in a manufacturing environment.
  • Read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings and P&ID and pass an on-site mechanical aptitude test
  • Experience with Microsoft products, CAD drawing a plus.
  • Understand safe work practices and experience in lockout, tag out, electrical safety, and lean/Six Sigma experience.

Pay Range for this position: $24.00-$39.00 per hour
The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
