Job description

Mains'l is seeking a dynamic College Support Professional to provide collegiate, social, vocational, and independent living skills support to adults with developmental concerns enrolled in our college program. The Mains'l College Essential Plus programs offer support to adults to reach their educational hopes and dreams! 
 

At Mains'l we strive for continuous employee development to achieve the personal and professional goals of our employees. Mains'l has a variety of training, development, and career growth opportunities in social services, behavioral health, mental health, health care, finance, clerical, informational technology, human resources, nursing, and management. 

We are currently looking for someone who is looking for part-time work. The schedule is Monday- Friday between the hours of 8 am-6 pm. 
 

Job Type: part-time 

Salary: $18.25 /hour.

The primary duties of the job would be to:

  • Support for helping students navigate the Chico State and Butte County campuses and become familiar with different departments and services
  • Support for breaking down homework assignments into clear steps and helping students stay organized
  • Assist students in finding appropriate tutors
  • Help students learn how to live independently
  • Support the students by utilizing community resources
  • Must have own vehicle with valid driver's license and current auto insurance

The perfect person for this amazing opportunity would have:

  • Ability to work with limited to no supervision
  • Ability to navigate college campuses and utilize student resources like financial aid, tutoring, academic counseling, etc.
  • Experience working with college students and/or people who have disabilities
  • Ability to communicate clearly and be professional in a variety of settings
  • Ability to help plan program events and activities
  • Ability to plan and present a workshop or activity
  • Ability to make decisions for the good of the students, program, and fellow team members.

Pay: From $18.25 per hour

Pay Scale: 
Starting rate: $18.25 per hour 
Maximum Pay Rate: $19.25 per hour based on years of experience at Mains'l.
