Job description

Job Summary:
Tesla is dedicated to shaping innovative business models and guiding the Semi Truck Business to advance its mission of accelerating the transition to sustainable energy. The Technical Program Manager will play a critical role in scoping new markets for the Semi Truck, focusing on deployment strategy, aligning plans across various organizations, and preparing executive materials for key business decisions.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute deployment strategy for the Tesla Semi Truck expanding in New Markets
• Align deployment plans across vehicle, software, charging, policy, finance, and service organizations
• Prepare executive materials driving key business decisions, including spending and expansion
• Scope new markets, considering cost, lead time, resourcing, and customer base
Qualifications:
Required:
• Degree in Engineering or Technology or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Program Manager with a technical scope of work
• Experience with data acquisition, analysis, and processing tools, a plus
• Experience in an engineering environment with responsibility for implementing efficient changes and streamlining processes
• Ability to be resourceful, and autonomously drive solutions in ambiguous problem spaces
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment on several different projects
• Demonstrated experience in coordinating with multiple cross functional teams
• Driven and willing to undertake great challenges, and to manage development & validation projects across a variety of programs and initiatives, often with conflicting or overlapping priorities
• Understanding of logistics or trucking industry customer needs
