Position: Technical Product Manager III

Location: Atlanta, GA

Duration: 4 Months
Client: Southern Company Services

Southern Company Services is seeking an experienced Technical Product Manager III to lead cross-functional technology initiatives from concept through deployment. This role requires strong technical acumen, product ownership experience, and the ability to translate business needs into actionable product requirements and technical deliverables.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working closely with engineering, architecture, and delivery teams while managing product backlogs, priorities, dependencies, and implementation timelines.

 

Key Responsibilities

·       Lead technology products and implementations from discovery through deployment.

·       Gather business requirements and translate them into product features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical deliverables.

·       Manage product roadmaps, priorities, backlogs, dependencies, and release plans.

·       Partner with engineering teams, architects, business leaders, and executive stakeholders.

·       Facilitate process discovery, future-state design, and business transformation workshops.

·       Support Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and delivery tracking.

·       Manage multiple workstreams and resolve delivery risks, issues, and dependencies.

·       Use data, user feedback, and experimentation to guide product decisions.

·       Promote user-centered design, process optimization, and continuous improvement.

·       Ensure solutions align with enterprise security, governance, compliance, and architecture standards.

 

Required Qualifications

·       5+ years of experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner, Business Analyst, Scrum Master, Delivery Lead, or similar role.

·       Experience leading cross-functional technology implementations.

·       Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, product backlog management, and software delivery.

·       Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions.

·       Strong organizational, facilitation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

·       Ability to manage multiple priorities, workstreams, and delivery timelines.

·       Ability to influence teams and drive results without direct authority.

 

Preferred Qualifications

·       Experience delivering AI, Generative AI, machine learning, automation, or data and analytics solutions.

·       Familiarity with Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or related cloud and AI technology stacks.

·       Scrum Master or Product Owner certification, such as CSM, PSM, CSPO, or PSPO.

·       Experience working within enterprise governance, security, and compliance frameworks.

·       Knowledge of design thinking, process optimization, and business-process reengineering.

·       Utility, energy, or regulated-industry experience is preferred.
