Summary:
The Program Manager - Rural Health Workforce Development is responsible for the operational aspects of assigned program areas, including development, implementation, and evaluation, working in close collaboration with a supportive team. This role supports innovative initiatives designed to meet the changing demands of Maine's clinical workforce, with a focus on the retention, growth, and upskilling of a locally rooted workforce and on expanding access to clinical training across the state. The Program Manager engages a wide range of stakeholders to identify and remove barriers facing clinical trainees and to support learners, preceptors, and training sites. This includes establishing partnerships and using data and knowledge of the workforce landscape to inform decisions and develop practical, sustainable solutions that contribute to more reliable access to care for Maine's rural communities.
An ideal candidate will have experience with program development and implementation, comfort providing technical assistance and support to partners, skill in building relationships across diverse stakeholders, an ability to use data to guide program decisions, and genuine interest in strengthening health care access in rural Maine. Oversees the work of additional staff if applicable.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  1. Education: Bachelor's Degree in healthcare or relevant field required. Master's Degree preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: Licensure may be preferred or required based on setting.
  3. Experience: Three years of related healthcare work experience required.
  4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A

The pay range for this position is $77,147.20 to $104,353.60 per year.
Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
